In the twenty-first century, multilingualism is becoming the norm. It’s estimated that over half the world’s population is at least bilingual and this figure is growing. So where do you fit into this changing world? Do you see yourself or your child as a part of a dynamic population of world citizens, or stuck on a shrinking monolingual island? The real question should be: why not learn another language?
AMBLEM System is of the view that the idea that it’s simply a myth to believe that only children have the capacity to become bilingual. You can learn to speak another language no matter what your age or educational background is; maybe you’ll never be mistaken for a native speaker, but you will be able to communicate – and that is what languages are for. Therefore, in the present regime, revival and integration of languages, cultures, and philosophies are one of our goals. We have carved out a plan to trace back the knowledge of Arabic, Chinese, English, Persian, Turkish, and Urdu to better cope with the regional and intercontinental developments.
- English
Students at AMBLEM not only learn English to prepare for national and international examinations in English, but also to become global citizens who are capable of using the language in academic and professional spheres. Students participate in several in-house and external programs including quiz shows, debates, seminars, conferences and lectures in English to develop their knowledge, critical thinking and social skills while expressing themselves in multiple national and international organizations such as model United Nations sessions, English Speaking Union declamations, and several other programs.
- Arabic
AMBLEM holds periodical classes in Arabic for schoolchildren and general public to introduce this language as a prominent means for understanding the language of the Holy Qur’an as well as for forging educational and professional links with Arabic-speaking communities.
- Persian
Understanding the wisdom of Iqbal and the intellect of Rumi without the knowledge of Persian language is same as savoring a feast without a pinch of salt. AMBLEM has taken on the initiative for the revival of this language in our society. Students are encouraged to learn Persian poems, read Persian poetry, and participate in Persian symposiums.
- Turkish
Our bondage with Turkish people dates back to centuries. AMBLEM’S association with Pak Turk Foundation has made us even closer with our Turkish brethren. The art of learning and speaking Turkish language along with the understanding of their culture is made a part of our regular co-curricular programmes to enhance these ties to economic, cultural, and social level.
- Chinese 语言不同，人生视角也不同
A different language is a different vision of life. Especially in the last decade, Chinese as a language has gained great prominence in Pakistan both in educational and professional spheres. Colossal infrastructure projects undertaken across the country in collaboration with China under the title of CPEC (China-Pakistan Economic Corridor) mean greater economic as well as cultural opportunities for the people of Pakistan. Mandarin Chinese is the largest spoken dialect of Chinese language with approximately 900 million speakers, making it the second largest spoken language in the world. CPEC and similar other projects made it more relevant to learn Mandarin to take one’s place in the bandwagon towards cultural and business collaboration between Pakistan and China. No doubt, Pakistanis who are proficient in spoken Chinese will have an edge compared to those who are not, and they will be able to tap the potentials offered by China. AMBLEM holds periodical classes in Chinese for schoolchildren and general public to introduce them to this language’s potential as a means for advancement in education and economy.
